Yes. Salt pools still need routine testing, balancing, and cleaning. “Salt” is how chlorine is generated, not a replacement for maintenance.

Why does my pool smell like chlorine?

Often it’s not “too much chlorine.” It can be chloramines from imbalance. Testing and the right adjustments usually fix it.

Can you help with cloudy water?
